1st mate

Must:

have proven sailing experience and a high level of competence on sailing yachts and / or traditional boats

have experience of traditional boat maintenance and rigging.

have experience of navigation and passage planning

have experience of working with charter guests including hands on teaching

have experience of dingy management

have excellent safety awareness of crew and guests.

Cook

Must:

have experience of cooking on boats - three meals a day for up to 12 people

have experience of different diets. 50% of our meals are vegetarian

have experience of managing provisioning and budgets

be scrupulous about food hygiene

have excellent organisation, planning and time management skills.

be prepared to be at sea for up to 10 days at a time.

have experience of working closely with guests - the galley in Provident is in the saloon
